As the graffiti scene in Vancouver influenced Scott early on, he found himself absorbingthe advice of older style writers. Soon after, Scott adopted the phrase “Sue Me” as an alias. Scott as “Sue Me” has come to embody the apposition of the “refined artist” and the desire to rebel through artistic outlets.
Scott’s DIY-nature led him away from Emily Carr Art Institute in 2005 so that he couldsink himself into the graffiti culture. Since leaving school, Scott has been commissionedby Nike, Microsoft, VANOC, City of Vancouver, Holt Renfrew, Lululemon and ShawCable on projects relating to graphic design, public art and corporate art ventures.
