CodeCast, ComIT.org, and West CoastTechnology Foundation have joined forces to launch a tech-focused job-training initiative to create new opportunities and options for youth and career changers in Western Canada. To start, 25 people will be invited to participate in the pilot project being delivered at The Network Hub’s locations in Vancouver and Nanaimo. We are also looking at possibilities of partnering with local organizations in smaller cities to create virtual classrooms to deliver workshop in real-time.
ComIT.org is a registered national charity providing free IT training to committed individuals who are underemployed or unemployed with a need to obtain employment in the short term. CodeCast is a streaming and recording platform for developer education. West Coast Technology Foundation is the non-profit arm of The Network Hub, leveraging its spaces and member network to collectively give back to the community.
