Dammy Ogunseitan of Reach Magazine

With Friend Friday, we highlight some of the wonderful entrepreneurs and small business owners who do their thing at The Network Hub. This week, we take a look at Dammy Ogunseitan of Reach Magazine.

Please tell us who you are and what you do. My name is Dammy Ogunseitan and I am the founder of Reach Magazine and The Buzz Entrepreneur Event. Reach Magazine is an online and small print magazine that focuses on entrepreneurs. It is a stage where entrepreneurs can highlight their work and successes. The Buzz Event is an event where entrepreneurs come together to network in a social setting.

Tell us something unique about your company. The cool thing about my company is that our primary focus and purpose is to promote entrepreneurs. We basically promote other peoples work.

What inspired you to get into this line of work? I¹ve always been an entrepreneur at heart. When I graduated from Simon Fraser, I worked for an Investment Promotion Agency where my primary focus was to promote big corporations to other countries. When I found out that small businesses and start-ups had no where to promote and share their successes I decided to do something about it.

What do you enjoy the most about what you do? Meeting awesome entrepreneurs with amazing ideas.

Where do you see your industry going in the next 2 years? For small magazine publishers like myself, social media has given us the ability to share information easily with our target market. I believe that if publishing houses can keep up with the times while staying true and loyal to their target market, and purpose, they¹ll be around for a long time.

What made you decide to join The Network Hub? I needed a place to meet entrepreneurs and start ups. The Network Hub made sense and it’s the place to be.

How has the experience been for you? The space, the community, the love and friendship has done wonders for me and my business. Plus without Minna, Jay and John, no one would have heard about Reach Magazine or the Buzz event. Thanks guys.
